Jul 22, A Twist in Classic truth or dare

by purplegirl17
(heaven slumber party)

This twist on a classic game attendance large opera with any number of girls. Before playing, you must write the truth several and OSI on small pieces of paper and put them in a basket or only a pile on the floor next to sleeping bags. (This game is usually played after "sleep") Every person is an individual team. A person is selected a truth or dare before and another person puts a truth or dare in each hand and "dare doer" deletes a hand or courage at a time, until one is left out, and then do what. Then others follow the same procession as before.A shorter way is that every pick only five and "dare doer" choose one to do with the part of disposing. this way works best with more than 2 girls. I hope this spices your traditional game of Truth Or Dare!

Sixteen Candles (High School Reunion Collection)

Sixteen Candles (High School Reunion Collection)Molly Ringwald established herself as the teen queen of the '80s in this fresh comedy. The movie is a day in the life of Samantha, whose 16th birthday is turning out to be anything but sweet. All the traumas of teendom come down on one long day, which sees Samantha surrounded by dithery relatives, mooning over a high school hunk, and pursued by a sawed-off Lothario. Sixteen Candles marked the directing debut of John Hughes, and its goofy energy displayed a promising talent with a great ear for high school lingo ... a promise neglected since Hughes became, after Home Alone, a one-man entertainment industry. There are some pretty crass moments (Why the stereotype of the foreign-exchange student from Asia?), but Ringwald's steady appeal smoothes over the rough spots. As the pubescent, self-styled lady-killer, Anthony Michael Hall turns in a hilarious portrait of a young swinger; he and Ringwald would reteam with Hughes for The Breakfast Club, another key teen picture of the decade. --Robert Horton

Not a good idea to use dry ice in your fist to make smoke. curious Hands may try to touch the dry ice causing burns. rather than place the dry ice containers reach, for example on the back of a table and you'll still have the atmosphere of smoky mist without the worry of accidents.

Keep the Halloween party food simple ideas and family, but with a twist. Rename Favorites in theme Halloween party.

Use food coloring, blue, green and Brown, and change the appearance of a dish. Or use food family in unknown ways. e.g. blanch a head of cauliflower, divide and remount (this simplifies cauliflower serve) cover the cauliflower with ranch dressing, then using the ketchup the squeeze bottle into a structure each floret with ketchup, so it looks like a brain.

Now, let the teen party games begin!

Teen party games for a 50's theme party

Or any other party music themed party!

***You can make any of these games work for your theme by tweaking a few things. Keep in mind the theme of your party. The music, decor, clothing and anything else that is specific to your theme and use what works.

Most of all, have fun!

This is a blast! If you have done the theme party right, you and your guests are dressed in fifties clothes and your place is decorated real fine! You can find 50's Costumes and accessories too!

Now all you need is some music!

This is a dance off like they used to do in the fifties.

Did you see the Happy Days episode where Fonzie, Richie, Potsie and Ralph were in the dance contest? I can't remember what it was called but they danced all night until they dropped! Really!

That's what this party will be like but with a few changes in the rules.

It's best to have someone in charge of the music for this one!

Okay, here is how it works...

Plan for several dance offs and give prizes for best couples dancing, best dance moves, most creative, or most imaginative. Contestants dance for as long as they can until the music stops. And if they stop while the music is still playing they are disqualified. Have a few people to watch for guests that stop dancing and have them hold up signs that say "You Are Out!" They should be keeping track of the dance contestants. The last few people on the dance floor are the winners.

Easy, but so much fun!

This teen party game is always fun!

Here's how it works...

You will need a Karaoke Machine, or CD Player and someone to act as your DJ. If there is some great music that goes with your theme use it. Be sure to have a good supply of songs. Have a few judges, I like to have three. The judges should have whiteboards to put their scores on and score each act. Start the music and be entertained!

My teen daughter just told me about this one. I hear it is a big hit for all girl parties! I guess they voted it the Bestof all the girls teen party games.

This is how it works...

You have your daughter do some research on each brother. Have her gather facts about each one individually, like hobbies and some things that would be true for all of them like where they live. You can also add stuff about their parents if you'd like.

The main focus will be Kevin, Joe and Nick of course!

You get a poster board and put a picture of each brother, and a group photo and maybe one of their parents like this...

Your daughter, or you if you want it to be a surprise, write out questions on index cards and the amount the question is worth on the opposite side.

Put the answers on the board in the correct place and play...

Jonas Brother Jeopardy!

prizes?

Jonas Brothers stuff, of course!

Here are a few favorites!

Your girls will love you for this one! I promise!

Interested in decorating your party in the Jonas brothers theme?

Take a look at the Jonas Brothers party kit!

You will need balloons and small squares of paper for this.

Here's how it works...

***If you are having a lot of guests you'll need more balloons. Figure five per person.

Divide balloons so you have an equal amount of truth and dare balloons. Write truth questions out and put one question in each balloon and blow up the balloon and write in permanent marker, "truth" on the balloon. Then do the same for the "dare" balloons. Put one dare question in each dare balloon. Put them in a pile and have someone go first. Whatever balloon they take, they have to keep, and figure out a way to pop the balloon without a pin and do what it says!

This is really easy but you will laugh so hard!

This game can be used to play trivia games as well. It's just so much more fun!

Want to try another type of Truth or Dare game? We like these.

This teen party game is a blast! We just did this again and it was so much fun for both the guys and the girls!

Here's how it works...

You'll need: Two ping pong balls (or more) Straws - (one for each player) Tape A ref

You will have to make your race track. You can do this by putting tape down the center of a long table or you can do it on the floor, which creates an additional challenge for the racers.

Divide the teens into two teams Each team member gets a straw Each team gets a side of the track

When the ref says "go", the first person on each team blows into their straw which is making the ping pong ball roll towards the finish line.

* If a ball goes outside the track that player must start over. * If the ball falls off the table, that player must start over.

Each player on the team has a turn and whatever team finishes first wins!

* This is like a relay race and can be done with music as well to add to the fun!

With the teenagers always having an ipod attached to their ears, we thought this would be fun so we did this at a sweet 16 birthday party and it was a big hit with all the teens!

Here's how it works...

You have your teen put song titles of the music that is popular for them on small squares of paper and put them on a hat. Now have them put songs they remember from when they were little and put those in another hat. (This is a backup, soon to be explained.) Divide the teens into two teams. Have a score keeper Now, it's like charades. But if a team member picks a song from the pop tunes and doesn't want to act it out, they have a choice to either lose a turn for their team or choose a song from the Kid song hat and act it out. If they choose this option, they MUST do it! The team that guesses the most songs wins!

I Know, I know! I wasn't going to add this one but my 14 year old daughter insisted on it, she says this is one of the most popular teen party games. When I inquired as to what theme this game might work with, she gave me "the look", yes, that look! and informed me that this game went with every theme!

How can I argue with that...it's true!

So, if you have been under a rock your whole life, or have never had a chance to play...??? It's okay to admit it! At least to yourself, ha, ha! I know your smiling!

Here's how it works...

You will need a coca cola bottle. (Yes, like the ones we had when we were kids. * or some other bottle with some spin action to it.) Two bowls Small squares of paper and a pencil write each teens name on a piece of paper. Put all the boys names in one bowl and the girls names in the other bowl. All the kids sit in a circle with the bottle and two bowls in the middle.

Choose someone to spin the bottle, starting with the person throwing the party. If the person spinning is a girl and it lands on a girl, she picks a name from the boys bowl and vice versa.

They stand in the middle of the circle and kiss. Okay, you can have them hug, no one should object to that! But they only have five seconds, if they don't hug in five seconds then they then they have to kiss!

So, if the teens are not hugging, we will all know that they want to kiss!

If they do nothing...they will be teased for much too long. Kids can be brutal!

Remember, some kids are shy, To keep this one fun, it should be optional!

Scavenger hunts are making a comeback!

why?

Because they are awesome! And a new favorite of all the teen party games!

Here's how it works...

Players or teams are usually assigned a list of things to find that are hidden around the house, in the backyard, in the neighborhood or in some cases....around town!

Some of the most popular hunts are:

On the Beach Around the town Hunt Photo Hunt Mall Hunts Neighborhood Hunts Girls vs. Boys Hunt Amazing Race Hunt Glow in the dark Holiday Hunts Treasure Hunt Theme Hunts Alphabet Hunt Nature Hunt

When planning a scavenger hunt, don't limit your ideas. I have planned one kind of hunt, and after ironing out details and lists, found it would work better as another kind of hunt!

Remember...it's suppose to be fun!

If you really want to get serious about having a really great hunt, Click Here! You will find The best ideas with all the details!

We all know teens start to go boy/girl crazy before we want, but what can you do?

Make a game out of it!

This is how it works...

Your guests sit down in a circle with a pad of paper each, and a pen or pencil.

You have three female teen stars photos up on a wall and do the same with three male teen stars...like the kids from High School Musical for example. and ask each teen at the party to choose their "dream date" and draw them!

The guest with the best looking dream date wins!

Do you like mysteries? Well, this may be one of the teen party games to play! But it's a silent game, so keep that in mind if you decide to give it a try.

First select a speaker. The speaker asks all of the other players sit in a circle and close their eyes. She/he then taps three random people on the head:

once for murderer, twice for angel, and three times for detective.

It's very important that the group continues to keep their eyes shut!

The speaker has everyone close their eyes. Then the speaker will say, "Murderer awaken." Only the murderer opens their eyes. "Who would you like to kill?". The murderer points to any person in the circle, and then closes his eyes.

Then the speaker says, "Angel, awaken - who would you like to save?" and the angel opens their eyes and does the same thing, pointing to any person in the circle that he would like to save.

The speaker then says, "Detective, awaken - who would you like to suspect?".

Then everyone opens their eyes.

If the murderer killed a person, that person is now dead and is not part of the next round. However, if the angel saved the person who the murderer was trying to kill, they are saved and are not killed. When the detective suspects the correct murderer, he wins the game, but not if the murderer can kill him first.

This is a great game to play with dim lights and spooky music!

*The way we play, if anyone opens their eyes when they are not suppose to is out!

Some teen party games become a favorite, this is one of them!

There are many options for sweet sixteen dresses and you want to choose what suits you.

Here are five steps that you must take in order to choose dress for her party.

1. the first thing you need to know is that you need to start early recital attire, and not referring to two weeks before the party.Instead, start watching clothes several months in advance. you may have trouble finding the right one, or you may need to have altered. Allow yourself plenty of room so you don't feel rushed.

3. before you get too serious in shops, make sure you know the tone of his party planned. If the event should be formal and extravagant, please choose an appropriate clothing, perhaps as a dress ball or an evening gown. If you are for a themed event as an ' 80s party, you can buy outside the box and even watch vintage and thrift shops.

4. set a budget and stick to it. Once you start looking at all these beautiful clothes, it can be easy to be distracted by a dress that just can't afford.Instead of letting this happen too, go ahead and decide what will be your budget and only shop of clothes that descend below that number.

5. choose the right color. If you schedule an event of sixteen sweet formal, you can stick with the traditional white or Pastel colored dress. However, if you want to do something more modern or unique, then consider the colors that compliment the skin and hair best.

The sweet sixteen is an event that occurs only once. ensure that every detail is special and choose only dress for the occasion.

PBS More Doo Wop Memories Featuring More Doo Wop 51 and More Rock, Rhythm and Doo Wop [VHS]

PBS More Doo Wop Memories Featuring More Doo Wop 51 and More Rock, Rhythm and Doo Wop [VHS]Now and forever a favorite among kids, this 1990 comedy written by John Hughes (The Breakfast Club) and directed by Chris Columbus (Mrs. Doubtfire) ushered Macaulay Culkin onto the screen as a troubled 8-year-old who doesn't comfortably mesh with his large family. He's forced to grow a little after being accidentally left behind when his folks and siblings fly off to Paris. A good-looking boy, Culkin lights up the screen during several funny sequences, the most famous of which finds him screaming for joy when he realizes he's unsupervised in his own house. A bit wooden with dialogue, the then-little star's voice could grate on the nerves (especially in long, wise-child passages of pure bromide), but he unquestionably carries the film. Billie Bird and John Candy show up as two of the interesting strangers Culkin's character meets. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are entertainingly cartoonish as thieves, but the ensuing violence once the little hero decides to keep them out of his house is over-the-top. --Tom Keogh

Teenagers-what is this?

Adolescents are a vital part of society, although sometimes, are considered as one of the parties less responsible of it. Perhaps this is true in some cases, but does not define who they are really. How many would like to see him, I'm really not that irresponsible. However, sometimes, the sense of curiosity and adventure that have naturally can shadow on their sense of responsibility.

Being a teenager is a vast part of life. This is the stage where one is a bit accepting and mingling with the real world. This is also the stage one is always interested to try new things, that sometimes becomes the root problems, especially for most parents.

Even if you don't want to be guided, moreover, need all the indications which could give their parents, because this is the stage where their curiosity is at its peak. For this reason, you can understand why parents can become stricter and more cautious at this stage of their children's lives.

In addition, the Group of people, in General, you may not be in communication with their adults are teenagers. The main reason for this may be different views of teens and parents, or what is commonly defined as the generation gap. and so parents should encourage still communication between them and their kids, so they can get a hold of what they think their teens and how you can tackle the problems. Better yet, parents should do their teens their best friends. Since this is the time when teenagers meet lots of new friends, it would be better if parents encourage their kids to make them much better as their friend.

Some might even be fragile, sometimes, in a sense that there are issues that are essential and must be discussed with them. Street kids to see things change come into this phase. If before, they don't care about how they look or how you dress, now they are spending hours just to make sure they look good. This is mainly because they want to guarantee that the world would approve them.Problems like having pimples or gaining weight would make a great impact on teens, especially if you come to the point of being infatuated with somebody. parents should give the utmost care and guidance to them so don't take these small problems as something that could reduce their intrinsic significance.

In addition, they are now more critical about their opinions that might encourage debate between adolescent companions, friends and their parents. And so, they should be used for their proper words of wisdom and advice to see things clearly.Good communication and an open channel would be better in treating adolescents.

Remember that the basic idea being to be teenagers is mingling with people always want to hear. that sense of belonging, which is why they are more things like attending parties, communicate with friends and others. even if they seem to be in their minds of good now, they still need supervision of their parents or legal guardians. This would be very essential to ensure their safety and making sure they grow up as the best people that may be. always tell the guys how important are special and are part of this company, because they are in fact.

Aug 31, Slumber Party Games

We've collected a huge list of girl slumber party games and activities for your next sleepover! These games also work great as teen party games or tween party games.

Blind Van Gogh - Divide players into pairs, and have one of the players in each pair blindfolded. Set a timer for two minutes and show the partner (who can see) an object. The seeing partner then describes the object without saying what it is while the blindfolded player tries to draw it with a pencil on a piece of paper. To make it fair, each team should have the same object. When time is up, take the blindfolds off and let the "artists" see how well their drawing looks like what they were supposed to draw.

Board Games - Have some board games handy that everyone can play as a group...such as bingo, Twister, Cranium, etc. Check our our list of great board games to play as slumber party games.

Bunco! - A great game that is easy to play if you have enough guests and the space to play it!

Cahootie - The classic cootie catcher gets a new twist.

Circle Laugh - Lie down in a circle with heads on each other's stomachs and see who can keep from laughing!

Drawing Game - Fun slumber party games for players to play in pairs.

Find the Leader - The Find the Leader Game is a wacky version of Follow the Leader, where the person who is "it" tries to figure out exactly who is the leader! This party game can leave you scratching your head!

Slumber party button, slumber party favor Flashlight Hunts These slumber party games best as an outside game to be played in the dark with flashlights...

Fortune Teller Game - This is one of our favorite slumber party games at my house. You'll need four paper sacks. You'll also need a pencil and 4 slips of paper per guest. On the 1st paper sack, write "Job". On the 2nd paper sack, write "husband". On the 3rd paper sack, write "city". On the 4th paper sack, write "Number of children". Then have each guest write something on a slip of paper for each sack and place the slip in the matching sack. Then, one at a time, draw a slip from each bag to read the fortune. One fortune might be "Lisa will have a job as a zookeeper, marry Rob, live in Paris, and have 9 children!" (The crazier the answers, the better! This can be played over and over)

Fortune Teller Game #2 - Draw a circle on a piece of paper by tracing a plate. With a pencil divide the circle into 6 sections. In the different sections, write one word in each, such as "Yes", "No", "Maybe", "Probably", "Ask Again" and "I'm not telling!". Then, take turns asking a question and flipping a coin onto the paper to get your fortune!

Game Show - Create your own game show with games of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Are you Smarter than a 5th grader, Wheel of Fortune, etc.

Favorite Girl Games - Games that can be used as slumber party games that are favorites just for girls!

Glow Olympics - If you are thinking of having a black light party then consider turning it in to an olympic event!

Hula Hoop Contest - Who can go the longest?

Karaoke - always fun! If you don't have a Karaoke machine, then just do it the old-fashioned way! Simply sing-a-long with your favorite song. Use a pretend microphone. Still fun!

Keep Talking - You'll need a bowl full of words written on slips of paper. Words should be things…such as tree, table, traffic light, broccoli, etc., and a timer. To play, have a player pull out a slip of paper, which will be their "topic". Have them talk about their "topic" for two minutes, without getting off-topic! After their two minutes is up, have the next person take a turn!

Left Foot Art - Sit on the floor with no shoes and draw using your left foot.

slumber party invitations Light as a Feather- Are you light as a feather or stiff as a board? A classic!!

Limbo - How low can you go? If you don't have a limbo stick, use a boa or a flashlight beam!

Mad-Libs - Always a hit.

M&M Hunt Game - Everyone loves M&Ms and everyone loves scavenger-type treasure hunts! ONE OF OUR FAVORITES!

Makeup Artist - You'll need makeup: lipstick, loose powder and blush. Stay away from things that could injure an eye, such as eye shadow (unless applying with a cotton ball) and no mascara (too scary to try to do!). Divide players into teams. One player is the model, and their teammate is the make up artist. The makeup artist has 2 minutes to put makeup on their model. But must do it blindfolded! The other players who aren't taking their turn can give out directions on what to do such as "higher, lower, over to the left," etc.!

MiniTennisCourt - For a fun and unique slumber party games, set this up!

Mosquito Game – This is great to play at a camping themed slumber party, but is so much fun we thought we'd include it on our master list. Give each player a sheet of dot stickers (preferably red!) that will represent mosquito bites. Throughout the evening, try to get rid of your stickers by giving the others players “mosquito bites”! Do this by secretly placing stickers on other players. Be careful…if you are caught you have to keep your mosquito bite sticker. The first player to get rid of their stickers is the winner!

Murder Mystery - Before the party, cut a slip of paper for each guest. On one place an X, and on another write Detective. All other slips of paper should be blank. Have everyone draw a slip of paper, with only the player who draws the detective slip telling the others that he is the detective. Whoever draws the “x” will be the murderer. The detective will leave the room. Turn out the lights. The players move about the room, and the murderer will give someone a big hug to “murder” them. The victim counts to 10, and then screams, falling down on the floor “dead”. (Counting to 10 gives the murderer a chance to get away). The detective comes back in the room and can question all the “living” players until they find the murderer!

Observation - You’ll need: one different small item per person (a paper clip, safety pin, sticker, bandaid, or anything that can stick or be fastened on). Secretly give each player an item. Have them hide it somewhere on themselves, but in plain sight. Give everyone a list of the items that you handed out. Then, have everyone go around and try to locate the items. Whoever has found all the items first wins!

Once Upon a Time - Sit in a circle and let the host tell a story. They'll start with a sentence to get the story rolling. Then the next person in the circle will tell what happened next in one sentence. Go around the circle 3 times to complete the story! (with a small group you may want to go around the circle more times than that)!

Pass the Hat - Play the old Pass the Orange game, but with a hat. Pass the hat from head to head without using your hands! You can pass all sorts of sleepover related objects as slumber party games, such as a teddy bear.

Photo Fun - Divide players into teams, with each team using a digital camera. Give each team a list of photos to take. Some ideas are...the team pretending to sleep, of the team dancing, of the team doing yoga, etc. Whatever you can think of that will make a crazy photo! Make sure the different players take turns being the photographer so everyone gets a turn to be photographer and models!

Pick Up Sticks - This is a fun game to play, and if you don't have enough sticks (or want several sets...) you can use colored drinking straws.

Pillowcase Hop - Have a sack race but use pillowcases for fun slumber party games!

Pillow Tag - To play tag as one of your slumber party games, you tag someone by hitting them with a pillow.

Printable Games - Fun games to print out and fill in at your party in holiday themes or birthday themes.

Scavenger Hunt - Here are some tips to planning a great hunt in include as part of your slumber party games!

Shadows - Use your flashlight to make shadows on the wall with your hands in the shapes of animals, faces, etc.

Silly String Fights - Anytime you get silly string involved, it is fun. Get a can (or two) for everyone, send them outside and have at it!

Sleeping Bag Hunt - Before the party, gather objects (such as a magazine, stuffed animals, a shoe). Have one object assigned to each player. Have players leave the room while you hide one thing inside each sleeping bag. When players return have them try to figure out which sleeping bag has their item. No peeking, but OK to touch. Perfect for slumber party games and sleepovers.

Sleeping Bag Race - Line up the sleeping bags, have each person climb inside one, and race across the room by wiggling inside the bags.

Slumber Party Supplies, Luggage Tag

Slumber Party Box of Questions - just one of many slumber party games you can purchase that are made specifically for slumber parties.

Sock Bounce - You'll need a different pair of colored socks per player (hey...this could be a party favor!). Roll the socks up into a ball. You'll also need a bed sheet. Have everyone hold an edge of the bed sheet, with the rolls of socks sitting on top. Everyone lifts up the sheet together, shaking and waving the sheet (like a parachute game). The object is for each player to try to bounce the other socks off the sheet, and avoid letting the socks get bounced off! This is great played as slumber party games because then the socks can be worn afterwards and be part of your party favors.

Sock Hunt - You'll need a pair of socks for each player. Before the party, take one sock from each pair and hide it. Then, at the party, give the mate to a guest and have them find the hidden sock that matches. You can even hide a little prize in the sock that you have hidden such as nail polish and gloss.

Suitcase Relay - There are many variations of this played as slumber party games, and you can use your imagination to make it as crazy as possible for your friends.

Talent Show - Let everyone (who wants to) participate in a talent show! Be sure to video this one and replay later during the slumber party.

No Talent, Talent Show - Have a pretend talent show to see who has the least talent! Team up players so they can work together. Some ideas are telling (bad) jokes, reciting a (bad) poem, playing with a band (badly - maybe on kazoo's?), singing (badly) karaoke, magic tricks (badly done), dancing (bad), etc. Give awards for the worst. You'll want to video this one too...

Teen Party Games - Our full, giant list of teen party games and teenage birthday party games.

Ticking Clock Game - Have players leave the room (or hide their eyes) while you hide an alarm clock in one sleeping bag. At some point in the evening, have the clock set to go off. Tell your guests that the alarm will go off, but don’t tell them when it will go off - that will be a surprise). When the alarm rings, whoever can find the clock first wins!

Tongue Twisters - That's right. Tongue Twisters. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. That sort of thing. Find a list of tongue twisters and try saying them. Can be really funny!

Toothpaste Test - Anyone really going to bed? If so, have a toothpaste taste test. Furnish two to four toothpastes for everyone to get to try and then let everyone vote for the best one.

Treasure Hunt - Find a treasure hunt that will challenge you and your friends!

Truth or Dare - Isn't this what you immediately think of when someone says "slumber party games"? It is played at many slumber parties at some point. We have a list of clean truth or dare questions, as well as some dare ideas!

More Truth or Dare - You can purchase truth or dare games with all the supplies, dares and truth questions you need. Slumber Party Supplies Magnet Truth is Stranger than Fiction Game - Are those celebrity stories too crazy to be true? Maybe...maybe not. Can you tell the difference? TV Voices Game - Before the party, make recordings of the voices of TV characters. At the party, listen to the recordings and have everyone try to guess who they are hearing.
